The Spring Carnival is College Park Elementary PTA’s annual school carnival for students, families, and the community to enjoy!

Join in on the fun and play carnival games; take a train ride; jump through our inflatable Slide Zone and Obstacle Course; win some awesome prizes; watch our magic show; indulge in some delicious food, drinks, and snacks; engage with community service leaders; enjoy some fantastic music from our live DJ; and HAVE A GREAT AND MEMORABLE TIME!

COST:

WRISTBANDS for unlimited access to game booths, train, inflatables, and activities:

  • Pre-Sale: $20 each
  • Ticket Booth:  $25 each

SNACK PASSES for Snack Shack, Drink Booth, and Cotton Candy Booth items:

  • Pre-Sale:  $5 for 7 snack boxes
  • Ticket Booth:  $5 for 5 snack boxes

NOTE: Cash, credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay will be accepted at the Ticket Booth. A small processing fee will apply to each non-cash transaction (3%+$0.50 per transaction).

 

 

WRISTBANDS are required to participate in games, train ride, inflatable Slide Zone and Obstacle Course, face painting, photo booth, and magic show.

 

The Snack Shack, Drink Booth and Cotton Candy Booth require the purchase of a SNACK PASS either during the Pre-Sale Period for a discount or on site at the Ticket Booth for full price on the day of the event.

 

Food truck vendors will be available on site during the event from which food can be purchased separately and paid directly to the vendors (SNACK PASSES will NOT apply to food truck vendors).

EVENT DETAILS:

GAME BOOTHS (Included with wristband purchase)

Certain classrooms will be running the game booths provided by Fun Services. Your wristband will give you unlimited access to game booths. Prizes will be distributed at each game booth.

  

ATTRACTIONS (Included with wristband purchase)

SLIDE ZONE AND OBSTACLE COURSE

Inflatable mega-slide and obstacle course will be available on the Grass Field. Each participant must be properly wearing a wristband and present it when entering the Slide Zone and Obstacle Course area. All participants must adhere to the rules set forth by the inflatables operator(s). Wristbands allow for unlimited access to the Slide Zone and Obstacle Course area for the entire event.

 

TRAIN RIDE

Take a ride on this family-friendly train around the main College Park neighborhood park area. Wristbands allow for unlimited access to the Train Ride for the entire event. 

 

Note:  Any child age 4 or under and/or needing special accommodations may be allowed one accompanying adult to ride with the child on the train. The child must be properly wearing a wristband. The accompanying adult does not require a separate wristband in this case.

 

PHOTO BOOTH

Capture new memories with friends and family at our Photo Booth! Wristbands allow for unlimited access to the Photo Booth for the entire event.  Participants will receive a printed photo after use. You can also provide an email address to receive the same photos electronically. 

 

FACE PAINTING

Get into the Spring Carnival spirit by having your face painted! Wristbands allow for unlimited access to Face Painting for the entire event. 

 

MAGIC SHOW

We will have a magician at our Spring Carnival to dazzle our guests with a wonderful Magic Show!  Showtimes are at 3:00pm, 4:00pm, and 5:00pm.  Each show will be about 30 minutes long.  More info to come!

 

SNACK SHACK, DRINK BOOTH, AND COTTON CANDY BOOTH

Our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes will be selling a variety of snacks at our Pre-K/Kinder Snack Shack. Snacks will each cost anywhere from one (1) to three (3) Snack Boxes, depending on the snack item.

 

Our 5th grade classes will be selling a variety of drinks at our 5th Grade Drink Booth. Each drink will cost one (1) Snack Box. Net proceeds from drink sales will benefit our current 5th graders (Class of 2026) to help fund their 6th grade activities and promotion ceremony next school year.

 

We will be having a Cotton Candy Booth this year. One cotton candy will cost two (2) Snack Boxes. 

 

***All snack, drink, and cotton candy offerings will be available while supplies last.***

 

No cash or credit card payments will be accepted at the Snack Shack, Drink Booth, or Cotton Candy Booth.  Only Snack Passes may be used to purchase items at these booths.

 

FOOD TRUCK VENDORS

There will be food truck vendors on site during the event for additional food options. Food truck items are to be paid for directly to each food truck vendor (Snack Tickets do NOT apply). Cash and/or credit card payments will be accepted -- acceptable payment methods will be determined by each individual food truck vendor.  ***All food offerings will be available while supplies last.***

 

Spring Carnival 2025 Food Truck Vendors include:

  • The Burnt Truck

  • Monkey's Munchies - hot dogs, nachos, smoothies, churros, root beer floats, and more

  • Tacos Chicuas - street tacos and more

  • Dippin’ Dots - frozen ice cream dot snacks 

 

PARKING

Parking will be available anywhere along the adjacent streets around the school in the College Park neighborhood. Please DO NOT park in red zones, in fire lanes, or blocking the driveways of any residential homes. Make sure NOT to park in drop-off zones during certain times as posted along the street. Staff parking lot will be open only AFTER 2:45pm on the day of the event. If you live within walking distance, please consider walking to campus for Spring Carnival safely with your family and/or friends to avoid parking issues.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ):

What are WRISTBANDS and how do they work?

WRISTBANDS are for guests to use for unlimited play at any of our carnival games and to participate in attractions like the train, inflatables, face painting, photo booth, and magic show. Wristbands must be worn properly and intact to participate in any of these games and attractions.

 

What are SNACK PASSES and how do they work?

SNACK PASSES can be used to purchase items from the Snack Shack, Drink Booth, and Cotton Candy Booth. Snack Passes are separate from the Food Truck Vendors from which you can purchase specialty foods and desserts directly from these vendors.  See the Snack Shack, Drink Booth, and Cotton Candy Booth section above for more info on how many Snack boxes it costs to purchase certain items.

 

How do I purchase Wristbands and/or Snack Passes?

Wristbands and Snack Passes can be purchased early online during the Pre-Sale Period at discounted prices.  After the Pre-Sale Period, Wristbands and Snack Passes will only be available to purchase in-person at the Ticket Booth on the day of the carnival at regular full prices.  See the Cost section above for more info on pricing for both Pre-Sale and Ticket Booth purchases.  Wristbands and Snack Passes can be purchased online only during the Pre-Sale Period -- click here to purchase.

 

How will I receive my Pre-Sale Wristbands and Snack Passes once I order them online?

Upon submitting your Pre-Sale order online, you will be asked to designate a student to whom we will deliver the Pre-Sale orders in class on Wednesday, April 23rd.  You will need to enter that student's first name, last name, and teacher name.

 

Do I have to purchase a Wristband or Snack Passes?

Not at all! You can simply come to the Spring Carnival to walk around and enjoy the fun music and atmosphere. However, you will NOT be able to play any of our carnival games or participate in attractions. Wristbands are available to purchase separately for $25 during the event at the Ticket Booth.

 

Can I use Snack Passes to purchase items from the Food Truck Vendors?

No, Snack Passes can only be used for items at the Snack Shack, Drink Booth, and Cotton Candy Booth.  Food Truck Vendors will take cash or credit card directly on the day of the carnival.  See the Food Truck Vendor section above for more info about food offerings and payment methods available for each vendor.

 

Do I have to stay the whole time?

Nope, you can come and go as you please, anytime during the event from 2:15pm-6:00pm that day.

 

Can I bring friends and family who are not part of College Park Elementary?

Yes, absolutely! Although the Spring Carnival is hosted by College Park PTA and caters to our College Park school families, we welcome friends and families from anywhere who want to visit and participate. Many of our College Park alumni love to come back to join in on the fun. Come one, come all!

 

Will there be security on site?

We will have a security team comprised of volunteers on site during the event. Irvine Police Department (IPD) will be on site and nearby for a portion of the event.

 

What happens if I forget to bring my Pre-Sale Wristband or Snack Passes to school on the day of the Spring Carnival?

All sales of Wristbands and Snack Passes are final. Any lost, stolen, damaged, or forgotten Wristbands or Snack Passes will not be replaced. You would need to purchase a new Wristband and/or Snack Pass in any of those situations. So, please make sure you remember to bring your Pre-Sale Wristbands and Snack Passes to the Spring Carnival!

 

Can I opt to have Pre-Sale Wristbands and Snack Passes picked up directly from school instead of being sent home with my child?

Pre-Sale Wristbands and Snack Passes will be sent home with your designated child on Wednesday, April 23rd. Please email collegeparkirvinepta@gmail.com if you have any concerns regarding the delivery of your Pre-Sale Wristbands and Snack Passes.

 

What should we wear to the Spring Carnival?

Please come to the Spring Carnival in comfortable attire that follows our school’s dress code policy.

 

Do I need to supervise my child at the Spring Carnival?

Since the Spring Carnival is taking place outside of school hours, all children need to be supervised by their own parent, guardian, or designated responsible caregiver as you would any public place.

 

Are animals/pets allowed at the Spring Carnival?

As much as we love our pets, please refrain from bringing animals/pets to the Spring Carnival.  Service animals are allowed.

 

What happens if my Wristband or Snack Passes are damaged or lost during the Spring Carnival?

All sales of Wristbands and Snack Passes are final. Any lost, stolen, damaged, or forgotten Wristbands and Snack Passes will not be replaced. You would need to purchase a new Wristband and/or Snack Pass in any of those situations.  

 

Can I bring outside food and drinks to the Spring Carnival?

You’re welcome to bring outside food and drinks to the Spring Carnival, but we’d greatly appreciate your support by purchasing food and/or drinks from our own booths and vendors!

 

Are refunds allowed for Wristbands and Snack Passes?

We’re sorry — NO refunds of Wristbands and Snack Passes. All sales are final.

 

I already ordered Wristbands and/or Snack Passes for my family online, but now I want to make an additional purchase. Can I do that? The form says to place only one order per family.

Yes, you may place a separate order for additional Wristbands and/or Snack Passes if you need to. We just ask each family to try to purchase all at once to help streamline the sorting and distribution process that our PTA volunteers will be doing behind-the-scenes. Thank you for your understanding!
